Our Mission

Our Purpose

The purpose of the International Women’s Club, Inc. (IWC) is to provide support and information about life in the United States for newcomers while also providing multicultural enrichment for American members. The International Women’s Club, Inc. is organized and operates exclusively for educational, cultural, and charitable purposes, under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or the corresponding section of any future federal tax code.

Who We Are - A Vibrant Community

Our members are women who have moved from another country to the Brandywine Valley and surrounding locales; women whose work, studies, or interests take them abroad, as well as women from the USA who want to enjoy and share in the exchange of multicultural experiences. We are single and married women, with or without children. We are stay-at-home moms, working and retired women who are connected by a curiosity about each other’s cultures, traditions, and food.

What We Do

On Wednesday and Thursday mornings, from 9:00 AM through Noon, from September through May, the Club assembles at the St Paul’s United Methodist Church at 1314 Foulk Road, Wilmington, DE 19803. There is always hot coffee, tea and refreshments available, prepared by the Hospitality Committee. During this time, members have a chance to sit and chat with each other, exchange ideas, attend activities together and develop friendships. The club regularly hosts luncheons, lectures, educational and cultural activities.
